Even pears get depressed. I know I certainly do, and it can be very hard to hoist myself out of a bad mood. Sometimes I don’t even know why I’m feeling down, but knowing why doesn’t always help either. Every year, for instance, I notice my mood goes a bit sour when the seasons change, yet I can’t seem to stop myself from feeling that way. I’ve found that the best was for me to get over feeling down is to force myself to do something I usually enjoy– seeing friends, knitting, taking a walk (although that’s harder with all this snow in Montreal!). It can be really difficult, but it often helps.

I’m sorry to hear you’re down in the dumps. I feel quite optimistic right now because I’m seeing signs of Spring breaking through the clutches of Winter. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for your kind words. That’s fantastic that spring is nearly there for you! Here it’s been getting warmer, but still snowing!

Dear Pear, as a fellow depressed Pear (especially in winter), I sympathise muchly. Doing things you usually enjoy is a good plan. Also, I was advised to try and go outside for a bit each day when it’s sunny, even if only for a few minutes. I’m longing for spring (in England)!

I’m hoping the snow will stop here. And I agree, getting a bit of sun does help. Auto-correct wanted to change “sun does” to “sundaes”. Haha. I suppose they would help too!

I get depressed for no real reason, and Pear definitely has that look. I’m going to blame this one on the budget, though. That always depresses me for good reason.
“Pizza!” said the lady with the alligator purse.

Haha. I’m going to have to agree. Pears do not like staying on budget!
