A few weeks ago, I played Risk for the first time in a long time. I would’ve won except I forgot about the Bering Straight! General Pear risked it all and lost…
For the pear in this last picture, I tried a new technique with the polymer clay. Before baking the pear, I did a transfer with paper and rubbing alcohol to make the face. I like this better.
Two posts in one day… sheesh. But I just took these pictures this afternoon, and I wanted to post them! The little polymer pear is sitting in a very spring-like arrangement of Sedum, Eyelash Begonia, and Pilea. The other plants are a struggling Shamrock and Maidenhair Fern.
I also wanted to let you all know that I’ll be participating in a vernissage / gallery exhibit / art show this Friday in Montreal. The evening will feature local artists from the H4C postal code (St. Henri neighborhood). I already know that there’s going to be a TON of different artists showing work at the event, so I suspect this is going to be a lot of fun!
If you’re in Montreal, please stop by, the address is:
