Sometimes things that are terrifying at first can turn out to be wonderful. (Just don’t let go.)
Sorry I haven’t been posting! I’ll try to do better.
Kind of like the Lace Pears I posted a while back.
I promise to post a new comic next week. Or at least I promise to try…
In the meantime, here are some photos of a knitted Poirot pear I made for a reader a few months back:
Poirot is one of my favorite characters. His attitude is very pearish to me (not just his name)!
If you like the knit pears, I have two angry ones in my Etsy shop that will only be available until December 1st. Here’s the link!
Sorry I haven’t been posting these past few weeks. Pears have taken a back seat to everything else going on lately.
Just in case you didn’t already know.
This one is also on Society 6. I’ve made it available as a print as well as t-shirts and baby onesies!
I recently started a shop on Society6, and this comic/illustration is available as a print or a t-shirt either with or without the caption. They even have baby onesies (which I think are a really cute). I kept seeing artists I admire that I have stuff on Society6, so I decided to try it.
My rabbit Beatrice and I will be doing a photo shoot later today (as is our Easter custom). If the pictures turn out well, I might post them here. In the meantime, here’s some picture’s from last year’s shoot!
Another one from Work-a-Day Pear.
The Abbe Fetel or Abate Fetale was in the news earlier this month when Italian growers brought this pear to the States for a showing. This is also the pear I chose to make the month of April in the pear calendar.
This is the problem with bringing plants inside for the winter.
By the way, there’s still time to enter the Facebook / Twitter contest and win a Pear Calendar or a comic book!
Just like or follow Angry Pear on Facebook or Twitter (if you have done so already, then of course you can enter), then comment on the contest post. It’s very important that you comment on the contest post to enter the contest.
This time of year, it seems you can never apply too much lotion.
Stay tuned for part 2 next week!
Some Gifs for you!
You may have to click on them to start them going.
(I decided to include this one as well, because it is so crazy).
Thank you for reading Angry Pear! Best wishes to you all for 2014!
More comics about Pear and Rabbit
This one is from a new print comic Work-A-Day Pear!
Happy Halloween!
I’ve posted all of these before, but thought I’d post some Halloween pears from previous years. I redrew Nospearatu and Pear Sematary, however.

The Pear of the Month winner for February 2013 is….
Snow Days!
Yes, February was a long time ago, but I’m still going to post my favorite pears of that month, and ask you to vote on your favorites. Like I said with my last pear of the month, I’m hoping to turn the winners into a calendar!
The nominees:
Staying on Budget:

Leftover Cake:
Snow Days:
Rabbit Poo:
Boxing Pear:
You can vote using the poll on the sidebar. You can also write in pears from February 2013. I’ll leave the poll up for about a week, and then announce the winner!
Thanks for voting!
Why do salespeople say things like this?!

I’m at the beach, so I’ve set up some auto-posts of new and old pear comics for next week. Stay tuned!
I’m heading off on vacation tonight! I’ll still be posting, but I’ll be putting up some old comics along with some new ones thrown in.
I’ve decided to bring back Pear of the Month. For those of you who are new, this is where I pick out comics and illustrations from previous months and ask readers to vote for their favorites. I’m bringing it back because I want to make a calendar for 2014, and I feel that this will give me a good sense of what I should feature in the calendar.
I had intended to do this for 2013, but never got around to it. I ended up buying a “Bygone Days”-themed calendar from the discount bin at Cartes Carlton. Of course, if I get this one for 2014 together in time, I plan to make it available in my Etsy shop!
We’ll start with January 2013 (no sense going back any further). Here are the contestants!
(You’ll have to click the link to see just what she put in the cookies)
Here’s how it works: I’ll leave the poll up on the sidebar for about a week. In that time, you can vote as often as you like for as many pears as you like (you can even write-in pears). I’ll announce the winner next week!
Thanks for voting!
The first day of Summer is tomorrow! Yay!
I keep telling myself this as it gets warmer.
Well, not just an angry pear. This time I tried using Illustrator for the first time to create shading. What do you think?
Again, I don’t remember the episode!
Here are some other Poirot pears (click the images to make them bigger):

Even pears get depressed. I know I certainly do, and it can be very hard to hoist myself out of a bad mood. Sometimes I don’t even know why I’m feeling down, but knowing why doesn’t always help either. Every year, for instance, I notice my mood goes a bit sour when the seasons change, yet I can’t seem to stop myself from feeling that way. I’ve found that the best was for me to get over feeling down is to force myself to do something I usually enjoy– seeing friends, knitting, taking a walk (although that’s harder with all this snow in Montreal!). It can be really difficult, but it often helps.

There is no such thing as a snow day in Montreal.
This is one from a while ago that I redid for the mini comic Pears Gone Wild.

Pears also go pretty well in grilled cheese. This one with Whiskey Cheddar sounds quite good!
I wanted to make a pear calendar for 2013 using the winners of Pear of the Month, but that never materialized since I kind of abandoned Pear of the Month mid way through the year.(I still want to bring it back though). WordPress, however, kept a record of the most popular posts from last year. So here they are!
